Every tutor is a fully qualified and experienced teacher and our certified dyslexia assessor is a member of the British Dyslexia Association.
Primary Tutoring
Our tutors have a comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum and experience teaching a number of year groups. They plan and teach high quality lessons spanning a range of subjects (including Maths, Reading and Writing). At T for Teacher our aim is to help all children to not only ‘catch up’ but KEEP UP regardless of their starting point. Every tutor is a fully qualified teacher well versed in the latest theories of learning. By building upon pupil’s existing knowledge and breaking down new learning into small steps, our tutors eliminate cognitive barriers to learning and ensure that excellent progress is made. Additionally, we provide coaching for end of key Primary examinations such as the Phonics Screening, 11+ and SATs.
Dyslexia Assessments
At TforTeacher, we are passionate about empowering pupils and their parents to understand their strengths and why they may be experiencing difficulties in their learning. We are now pleased to offer both dyslexia screening and full diagnostic dyslexia tests. Both are completed by a Certified Dyslexia Assessor and member of the British Dyslexia Association.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support
At T for Teacher we have the expertise and experience needed to teach and support children and families to manage Special Educational Needs (SEN) and thrive. We have worked with children with a range of SEND (including dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia) and are unique in having a former SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and a certified dyslexia assessor as part of our team. At TforTeacher, we not only support pupils with their academic learning but guide them to make outstanding progress with their social development and emotional regulation.
High Potential Learners
Looking for some additional stretch and challenge? Private tutoring by a fully qualified teacher can provide high achievers with the additional stretch and challenge that they need to reach their full potential. Following the mastery approach, our tutors plan learning opportunities that stretch High Potential Learners (those working above National Curriculum expectations) taking them beyond their classroom experience.
