TUTORING POLICIES

CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT:

In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances the Client may cancel a lesson by giving at least 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor, in which case no tuition fees will be incurred and the lesson will be rescheduled by the tutor. If 24 hours prior notice isn't given, the client will be charged at the full rate for the lesson. If lessons are cancelled with 24 hours notice, a makeup session must be arranged within 7 days or those missed hours will be lost. 

CANCELLATION BY THE TUTOR:

In the unlikely event of illness, extreme weather  or unforeseen circumstances the tutor will endeavour to provide the client with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Where a lesson was pre-paid, the tutor will either reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both the client and tutor or offer an online alternative. 

LATE ARRIVAL:

Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the client. Clients who arrive late to a lesson will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled lesson. There will be no prolonged lessons.

Any lost time because of the late arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost.

NO-SHOW POLICY

Clients who are not present at the pre-determined location when the Tutor arrives or who are more than 15 minutes late are considered no-shows. If the client is a no-show, he or she is still responsible for payment for the tutoring lesson.  No discount or refunds shall be given in respect of lessons not attended by the Student. Pay-per-lesson clients must present payment for the lesson which he or she was a no-show and the following lesson in order for tutoring to continue.

TERMINATION

If TforTeacher terminates the agreement, a refund will be given based on a pro-rated balance owed (if a balance is owed).   Please be aware that we have a No Refund Policy for all services.  Refund requests, including, but not limited to, those made by clients who cannot attend or use services, regardless of the student’s reason(s), and regardless of whether the client provides us with advance notice, will not be honoured.  Should you choose to cancel a prepaid Learning Package after attending your first lesson, you will be billed for the remaining amount of the Tutoring Package price.  Exceptions may be made only at the tutor's discretion and proof of circumstances may be required. 

OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARENT/GUARDIAN

• The parent/guardian undertakes to be responsible for the student’s health and safety during sessions and must be present and visible for the duration of the lesson.
• The parent/guardian undertakes to be responsible for the student’s conduct and character during the tutoring lesson including promptness, respectful behaviour, and staying on task.
• The parent/guardian is responsible for initiating any communication with the tutor.
• The parent/guardian is responsible for ensuring that the student attends the lesson on time.
• The parent/guardian agrees to ensure that the student has completed all work assigned by the tutor within the timeframe given.

NO WARRANTIES

While we endeavour to provide the best educational services possible, TforTeacher makes no promises or warranties with regards to a Student’s performance as a result of any tutoring provided. In no event shall our obligations, expressed or implied, to any customer or site user, exceed those obligations specifically noted herein.

AGREEMENT FOR PAYMENT

Lessons can be blocked in sets of 4, 6 or 10. Payment shall be made at least 1 week in advance of the first lesson. By making payment, customers are reserving a fixed slot for the duration of the pre-paid booking only. While we endeavour to meet the needs of our customers, TforTeacher makes no promises to reserve a particular time or date for the client beyond the pre-paid block. If the client would like to extend their lessons, they should request to book and pay for a new block at their earliest convenience. 

WHOLE AGREEMENT

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with regard to the subject matter thereof and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision not contained herein. Any alteration to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
